The short version: Every EZTul tool runs entirely inside your web browser. The files, text, images and PDFs you work with are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. There are no accounts and no sign-ups. This page explains that in full, and is honest about the few third-party services that help keep EZTul free.
Your tools run on your device
EZTul is a collection of free, browser-based utilities. When you resize an image, hash a file, build an invoice, strip photo metadata or use any other tool, all of the work happens locally in your browser using your device's own processing power. That content is not sent to a server, is not stored by us, and is gone as soon as you close or refresh the tab (unless a tool explicitly saves your work in your own browser, as described below).
No accounts, no content collection
You do not need to register, log in or provide any personal details to use the tools. We do not ask for your name, we do not build a profile of you, and we do not read the content you paste or the files you open – because none of it reaches us in the first place.
Data saved in your own browser
Some tools offer to remember your work for convenience – for example saved notes, flashcard decks, spinner entries, invoice business details or a countdown's settings. This information is stored only in your browser's local storage on your device. It never leaves your computer, and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
The only cookie EZTul itself sets is a small dark-mode preference, so the site remembers whether you prefer light or dark theme.
Analytics and advertising (how EZTul stays free)
To keep EZTul free to use, the site includes two third-party Google services:
- Google Analytics – helps us understand aggregate, anonymous usage such as which tools are popular and which pages are visited, so we can improve the site.
- Google AdSense – displays ads to cover hosting costs.
These services may set their own cookies and process standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, in line with Google's Privacy Policy. Importantly, this is limited to ordinary browsing information – it does not include the content you enter into the tools. You can manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ad Settings and control cookies through your browser settings.
Contact form
If you use the contact form on our About page, the details you choose to send (such as your message and email address) are submitted through our form provider so we can reply to you. We use that information only to respond to your enquiry.
Links to other sites
EZTul may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their policies.
Children's privacy
EZTul is a general-audience website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the tools do not collect content in the first place, no such information reaches us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date above. We encourage you to review it periodically.
